It’s March and we all know what that means. Air Max Day 2022 is around the corner! Time to pick out your favorite Air Max for this special day. But also time to take a closer look at the upcoming Air Max 2022 releases.
This year the Air Max 1 silhouette exist for 35 years. Nike already revealed that they will celebrate Air Max Day 2022 with the launch of three Air Max 1’s. 3 Three different designs for three different world regions. Now let’s take a look at all three of them!
Air Max 1 ‘Blueprint’
De Air Max 1 Blueprint will release in North America. The name ‘Blueprint’ comes from the design with all details that reflect the origin of this iconic silhouette. Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Max 1 which released for the first time in 1987. They were the foundation for the future of the Air Max 1.
Air Max 1 ‘Wabisabi’
De Air Max 1 Wabisabi will release in Asia and Latin America. Wabisabi is a Japanese concept that stands for appreciating imperfections. De Air Max 1 Wabisabi features different colors such as brown, olive green, mustard yellow, salmon pink and beige. Instead of the traditional Swoosh, there’s a Nike Smiley on the back.
Air Max 1 ‘La Ville Lumière’
In Europe, the Air Max 1 ‘La Ville Lumière will release on Air Max Day 2022. This Air Max 1 has the date of Air Max Day (3.26) on the tongue and also throughout the shoe box. We’ve heard that the Pompidou building in Paris was the inspiration for this design. ‘La Ville Lumière’ is a direct translation to Paris ‘City of Light’, which is the Pompidou building.
